Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles on the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. At the age of 18, he began to pursue a passion for acting. In the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. He has appeared in both films and television, but the small screen characters that brought him fame and an enormous audience. He's been able to seamlessly play the roles of characters on both sides of the law and grab the audience's attention. He portrayed the role of a serial murderer in his first television series project but later went on to portray the character of an NYPD detective. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he has received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. His most attractive facial feature is thought to be his distinctive blue eyes, which are considered to be a trademark and help in portraying the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. People's magazine's 2006 list of Sexiest Men Alive included him.
